A balanced diet should consist of 50-60% carbohydrates, 20-30% proteins and 20-30% fats contributing together, to the daily calories for women.</p>

A major study from the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) found that an estimated 39% of the 12 cancer cases could be prevented by improving the lifestyle choices.</p>
<p>Previous studies have suggested that approximately 43 per cent of bowel cancer cases and 42 per cent of breast cancer cases in the UK could be prevented if people ate more healthily, did regular exercise, maintained a suitable weight and not smoking. Professor Martin Wiseman, project director of the report, also said: �On a global level every year, there are millions of cancer cases that could have been prevented and this is why we need to act now before the situation gets even worse.</p>

<p>If so, why don&#8217;t you start a healthy lifestyle to reduce your chances of experiencing this life altering disease? Follow these 10 simple tips for the prevention of cancer:</p>
<p>1. Healthy eating</p>
<ul>
<li>Limit consumption of red meats (including beef, pork, and lamb) and avoid processed meats</li>
<li>Eat more of a variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and legumes (such as beans)</li>

<li> Physical activity helps to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment.
